Post Alpha-Bits

So I am all up for healthy cereal!! And healthy cereal with characters my son loves, even better! I think that the fact that they are using SuperWhy as a way to appeal to children is fantastic. So my 5 year old son was thrilled when he saw the box, he was jumping up and down so excited to try the cereal, really excited. And he ate it too. For the first 2 days he was excited about eating the cereal, recognizing the letters. But then he showed no interest. So I eventually asked him one morning "Gaven would you like some SuperWhy cereal" He replied "no." When I asked why, he said the the cereal was nasty. So I took it upon myself to try it, because the word nasty when it comes to food for a child could mean anything from the food not tasting good, to the fact that they are bored of it. Upon trying the cereal myself, I found two things. One I thought the cereal was pretty good. But as an adult and health nut, I prefer not to sugars and dyes in my cereal. But it also got soggy really fast which is a big turn off with cereal. About 3-4 minutes into eating I noticed it was soggy. So I am thinking, possible this could be the case. Also, and this is not the cereals fault, my son probably isn't that appealed anymore because it doesn't have the sugars, dyes , and marshmellows. But thats kinda the point isn't it??? Overall I think the cereal is a wonderful concept to attract healthy eating in children.
